I wish I could get this pic up alongside the long-tailed blue - oh, yes, open another window - a nice comparison pair.

Now you're trying to confuse me .... you'll see why I stick to simple things like beetles!

It's even more complicated! There's also a Provencal Short-tailed Blue which made this id more difficult seeing as I was in Provence. Also an Eastern Short-tailed Blue! I'll have to try and get shots of those 2 now.
