I wish I could get this pic up alongside the long-tailed blue - oh, yes, open another window - a nice comparison pair.

Yep, 2 fairly similar species. I've got this (very bad) shot of a Lang's Short-tailed Blue which is like a cross between the 2!http://www.wildabouttheworld.com/gal....php?photo=396

It's even more complicated! There's also a Provencal Short-tailed Blue which made this id more difficult seeing as I was in Provence. Also an Eastern Short-tailed Blue! I'll have to try and get shots of those 2 now.
