Scenes from two Parques Naturales - the Picos de Europa and Oyumbre. The former mostly above 1500m altitude, tha latter mostly at sea level!

The cablecar takes you to a karst area where there are still horses grazing and plenty of 'alpine' flowers.

I was interested to see horses grazing in some numbers in the Picos and in the Pyrenees. There were also cows but, in contrast to Britain, sheep were not common nor heavily grazed and, in special contrast to (e.g.) Greece, there were very few goats and these mainly confined to gardens or farmyards.

Yes, it came and went - actually, half an hour later there wasn't a cloud to be seen except in the distance so walking became rather warm.
