This is Pancratium Maritimum , common in dune systems in greece, spain etc. A lovely plant beautifully captured. I brought some seeds home from The Costa de la Luz last year and they have germinated but the challenge will be keeping them through our cold, damp winter.

Yes, I tried that once. Only managed to get one to germinate - it grew to about a finger length and then died! I suspect that they need to be kept fairly dry?
They're very beautiful, graceful things so I was horrified to see locals gathering them by the armful in Greece ......
