Not a bad picture considering it was taken with a pocket Kodak! However, illustrates how nature can reclaim urban environments.
Many years ago the Shire Brook was a boundary between Mercia and Northumbria but with the Industrial Revolution it had mills and iron works built on it and, at this point, a big sewage farm! All of those things have gone and the valley has again reverted to peaceful greenery ....
