ozwildlife Active Member Registered: January 2008 Posts: 73	Variable Ladybird (Coelophora inaequalis) These are all the same species. The blotched and spotted ones are the most common. The stripey ones are less common (in my area anyway) - the striped ones look like different species especially the one at bottom left.

I may not react on every single one but cheers for all the images of Aussie coccinellids mate!

Crikey, that looks more variable than the Variable Asian Ladybird (Harmonia axyridis) and the two-spot (Adalia bipunctata) - neither of which get into stripes! Just looking at these I can't see any consistent feature that is shared amongst the different types. Is it one of these species where you have to turn it over or slice it up?????
