Met this dragonfly walking along a mountain road on Cabo Ogono, Basque Country, August 2007.
With the help of the excellent WestPalOdos group had it identified to this species but there was much interest in its sex! Some said female but one well-supported idea was that its was a gynandromorph - hermaphroditic because the back end looks neither male nor female! Just my luck to pick a weirdy ... |
