Habitat: On soil, especially amongst mosses such as Polytrichum spp., on heathland and moorland, and rarely along field and woodland margins, and by roadsides.

Notes: Common to occasional but widespread. (Found in same location closely adjacent to Arrhenia chlorocyanea)
