A very dramatic caterpillar, I have never seen one - or the moth come to think of it. It makes you wonder why some caterpillars have such a defence against attack and others are at the mercy of birds? Perhaps it is to do with numbers of eggs, and some moths and butterfly species lay alot less than others? Interesting thought!
