Dead Vlei is located in the Namib-Naukluft NP, the trees are petrified Camelthorn Acacias approx 900yrs old. Dead Vlei is 1.2km across and about 57m above sea level.

Thanks - they look almost as if they've been burned in a forest fire.
Not very wide for a park! What's on either side - more desert?
