Another Himalayan Wildflower - July11
Dear friends,
Another wild flower from the Himalayan backwaters...
Altitude 3000 mts
Season July-August
Height 15 inches
Grassy slopes, open meadows
Looked like the Knautia arvensis to me but then.... the leaves are very different....
Any wild guesses....??

Thanks Paul,
I have not come across of any reports of Knautia sp. from the Himalayas... except for one case of K. arvensis from Pakistan... but since this is not that... I think it could well be K. longifiolia (from the other pics of the same flower I have) and of course there could be regional variations too....
