Hi Eric - it could well be Cladonia portentosa. It's lovely looking isn't it - sort of frosty  . |

Thanks, Goosey. I've nothing on lichen so I googled it from your lead-in and soon got lost. However, Cladina sp, though it look like, seems to grow on the ground, whereas the photo is of an epiphyte.

I think you've probably got the right family, Goosey, but there are so many of
them looking similar. I couldn't even find if it grows on pines or not.
