Being relatively new here, I am still finding my way around and just wondered if there is a pm facility on here somewhere?
Thanks

There used to be - through the User CP key - but now it seems to be receive only!

There is a pm-ing facility but its rather difficult find and see if anyone has pm-ed you back. It also appears you have to have images in the gallery to be able to do it.
If you click on "members gallery" then click on the person you want to pm there is a "send message " option. Luckily I could e-mail Suzanne B (she is my sister, I don't see her often, so its nice to bump into her here ) to tell her to check other wise she could have been oblivious for ever. She was able to reply to me via the reply button.
To read any pm's you have to click on " members gallery" and it says that you have "so" many messages, click on this to access your messages. These are usually replies to images you have uploaded and someone has kindly commented on, the PM messages are in there!
It is all very confusing - there must be a simpler method, I just haven't found

We'd switched it off so that it couldn't be used by members until they'd made 25 posts, because of a lot of spam in PMs by new members. I've switched it back on for everyone now an we'll just have to hope that spammers don't return

Sorry to be a pain, but I still cant find where me PMs are apart from the difficult way. I tried throught the user CP and it said
"goosey, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:" etc etc.
I thought it would come up with my avatar as soon as I logged in

I can now read my message (!) but don't seem able to send. Interesting that I have, according to the page, 2 messages of 0 allowed. Could this be a setting problem at core level?
With regard to switching off <25 post members - I couldn't/can't write messages despite being well over 25 (like Goosey).

Sorry Stu, I'll just ask this quietly so as not to be a nuisance.
The good news is I have found the pm facility!
The bad news is I only seem to be able to pm certain people...... I can even pm myself...... but I can't send a message to goosey or some of the other members , the option seems to be missing off their profile pages
As before, it's not urgent just a bit odd.
Thanks

Here's an interesting "problem" - actually it doesn't worry me in the slightest but I'd like to know how it happens. I have two avatars! Having changed the avatar a couple of days ago, the new one appears on my forum posts but the old one appears in the gallery.
Sorry people, have written this into the wrong thread ....

Hello you four!
Well that's another strange phenomenom on here
Although after a quick look, Paul's avatar seems to be the same little ferret (?) with his christmas hat on in both forum and gallery (although I haven't looked at every photo so it could be on those ) but goosey's is her old one in the gallery and new one on the forums!?!
Mines the same on both.....so much for being the chosen one
It's funny because I was only just thinking how much more interesting it was on here lately.......and now I know why.......hope they don't change back too soon!!
And I do hope it is a conspiracy , I like a good mystery!
