number of urls and another temporary problem
We're not allowed to put more than four (I think) urls into a message which includes smilies and links to galleries. This isn't very many really - I'd often like to send a couple of pictures, a couple of urls and perhaps a smiley to show that I'm human ( ).
For instance this message was not at first allowed because I had apparently included '6 images' (presumably the repetitions of the initial warning message below).
I can see why this caution might be necessary for new members but is there any way that more established contributors to the fora could have a bigger url allowance?
There's a little problem at the moment that when opening the home page the following appears. The rest of the page is there and nothing else seems to be affected but this might be disconcerting to newcomers?
- Warning: file_put_contents(/home/watw/public_html/forum/cmps/cache/news.google.co.uk-newsq-wildlife-ie-UTF-8-oe-UTF-8-rls-org.mozilla:en-GB fficial-client-firefox-a-um-1-tab-wn-output-rss.cache) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /modules/rss_cmps_curl.php on line 242

............. and more

This is an annoying problem if you are wanting to give an account of a day out with images, I have had to split posts in the past and then the flow is lost. And if you want to quote someone elses post - their urls count as your own.

Hi Paul/Goosey,
I didn't run into the problem yet ...

... as a matter of fact my record attempt currently stands at about 22 URLs
So, I think the limit may probably be the number of (small) images rather than URLs? Many images would of course make for "heavy" page loads (not good for POTS-modem users), but it does rather limit the possibilities of nice species "overviews" or field trip stories.
Splitting up into a few posts is a bit of a nuisance, but it may be a fair way of reminding people not to be too abundant with bandwith??? Don't know the actual reason though ...

Come to think of it, in my rejected message there were no urls and no pictures - only smilies!

I've upped the max to 10 images and also fixed the error in the first post that was stopping news feeds from showing properly on the homepage, but should be working again now
