Spinning wheels!

Nothing to do with spinning wool or a sleeping fairytale princess ,
but another top tip from the world of the goose .

Luckily, so far this winter we haven't been inundated with deep snow or ice but last year I witnessed a very useful idea if a stuck motorist hasn't got a spade handy .
A man was desperatelty trying to get his parked car out of snow but the wheels were spinning and the tyres burning and he was getting no where fast. An elderly woman slid and slideded over the road to him and said something I couldn't hear but he went to the back seats and took out the car mats and put them under the front tyres and he was able to drive out of the rut with no problem and once he was free returned for his mats. I bet he never forgets that tip because I won't .

That's a handy tip goosey. I shall keep that in mind seeing as it's snowing here today! It wasn't forecast for us but has been proper snowing all morning, laying and everything!
