It was a holiday weekend here and the weather has been glorious with temps around 25-28 degree's.
Yeaterday I was a silly goosey and burned the tops of by arms - not reapplying the factor 30 , luckily I did my face and I am not walking around looking like a complete English idiot .
Today started off nice aswell but we felt the temperature drop dramatically and there was mist blowing over a meadow and depositing droplets of cold water on us. When we came back a long the canal the mist was really building up.
I hope summer isn't over!

Sunshine? What sunshine? Grim, windy and raining on The Wirral today with the prospect of the back end of the tropical storm thats affecting the eastern USA hitting us in the middle of next week. Wellies and waterproofs out of storage?

Summers back. Clear blue skies, gentle breeze coming in off the sea and temperature around 17C.

Strange things happening in Stockholm. 5 degrees, wind and a lot of rain. Some places have had a months rain in 24 hours. Today - promised 8 degree, less rain - but mainly cloudy. Probably second hand UK weather

It is warm enough at 17 degree's but the wind is blowing like mad. I went out early to the beach and it wasn't too bad but I hadn't been there long before it was really whipping up and seemed the blow from all directions.

Did I say "blowing like mad", it turned in to a gale force 8 yesterday and is still lke that. It is like winter, dark, wet and gales.
I wish I had staked more of the plants now, they are windswept and looing very sad for themselves.

My TV tells me that it's hot and humid in Ukraine for the football but cold and wet in Switzerland (Tour de la Suisse). Up here it can't make its mind up - yesterday it was seriously chilly but mostly dry; today there have been cool patches and warm patches with wet ones sprinkled around! Appalling weather for mid-Summer but also a nuisance trying to work out what to wear - my ruchsack is fulkl of scraves, gloves and hats (all varieties) - I don't have room for anything else.

Ukraine v France delayed for an hour by a fierce electrical storm; but it's a lot brighter in Switzerland: all rather chocolate-box though ....
Nothing extreme here but it showers every time I try to go outside to work ....

I know, I only turned the football on to watch the storm and just as it was getting good they put an England replay on.
I would have rather watched a good storm we never seem to get any good ones where I am.
Oh yes and it's been raining all day here too.

last night we had thunderstorms and heavy rain.
Today has been wild! Warm with gales and very heavy showers which are just that, only last a minute or so but are totally drenching.

Rain, rain and more rain today I'm afraid, accompanied by a generous helping of wind (not me obviously ).
Well, I suppose as the Olympic Torch was passing through Cumbria and Lancashire today it was inevitable that a monsoon would unleash itself on us.

Very rainy two nights back so very wet underfoot for visit to Harlow Carr yesterday, although sunny and windy yesterday. Today sunny with the occasional cloud. Worse things though - yesterday hordes of people wandering around in northern Leeds, rather like 'Sean of the Dead' but apparently due to the Olympic torch. Today the dreaded torch has come to South Yorks so I've shifted to the Midlands!

After a rotten few days of storms, gales and heavy rain (a months worth in a couple of days) today is lovely 18 degrees and sunny.
