Weird Creatures: Blob Fish
Crikey, I thought I was looking a bit rough today. Spare a thought for the Blob Fish found in deep waters off the coasts of Tasmania and Australia.

That's just weird they look like those moomin things on kids tv in the 80s I think it was..
or grumpy old men lol

What an odd, but very endearing little creature. 
It makes you wonder what their purpose is and if they have evolved or have have always looked like this.

... but a lot of deep oceanic animals look especially weird when taken out of their element.

As if it wasn't depressing enough - it seems that the blobfish is now threatened with extinction because fishing fleets (Australian and New Zealand in particular) are now moving to deep water where the blobfish (and many other species) live. The fish aren't eaten, they just die as a side effect - collateral damage ....
