Beverley

Hi everyone, I am an avid birder and generally love wildlife and outdoors which I never seem to get enough of. Lately I have been woken up for the last couple of mornings with an owl and on going into the bird society website I have identified it as a long eared owl ! Quite exciting really as I live on an island at the mouth of the Thames Estuary which does not have a lot of large trees

Hi Beverley - what a great start to your days being woken like that! Welcome to the site, I look forward to reading your posts and hopefully getting to see a photo of your Long eared owl - that would be an achievement! I hope you enjoy it here and see you around .

Yes, welcome. You're not the only Canvey person here - form a little colony!

Hi Beverley
And welcome from me too!
How lovely to have your very own long eared owl waking you up in the morning, what a nice start to the day!
I'm sure you'll enjoy it here and I look forward to seeing your posts and photos and hearing more about the Canvey Island colony you are about to set up!
Have fun!
Suzanne

Golly - the Canvey-mob seems even bigger than "the Dutchies"

And I had to look "Canvey" up ... had no idea it existed ... sorry

Anyway - Welcome Beverly!
