Greetings from Australia

Hi everyone. I'm from Australia and have enjoyed looking at some of the photos posted here. It is always interesting to see wildlife from other parts of the world. I enjoy photographing wildlife of all kinds - when there are no birds or mammals around, there are always plenty of bugs to photograph. I'll post a few shots once I figure out how.
John

Hi John - it's great to have you with us, to get a non-European slant on life! It will be lovely to see some of your own images of the wonderful wildlife you get down under (Do you refer to us as "up above"? ). I look forward to your posts and input - see you around and enjoy the site .

Yes, welcome. I'm the reverse of you - I only photograph birds when there are no insects about!

Hi John,

A warm welcome from the Netherlands too! I'm with Paul on birds vs insects, but generally speaking don't take photos - just snapshots

Cheers!
Arp

Hi John, me again. I have just had a look at your website - there are some cracking images there! I went straight to the moth page to see what you get in Australia - I like the additional info that goes with the images. I will have a look at the rest of your site when I get chance.

Thanks for your comments, goosey. I have a lot of moth photos that I haven't posted anywhere yet, as I have no idea what they are. I'll put a few of them up on the gallery here - if anyone can help with identifying the families that would be great.

I have been able to ID (I think - no promises ) one for you. I will look for the other as soon as I get a chance. The names on this link to your image!
