a Belated hello
G'day all - and I've only noticed this "say hello" area today though I think it must be a good couple of months since I joined. I've already had some really good help from a few people and I'd not even said hello !!! How remiss of me. Apologies, one and all.
I'm still struggling to understand this forum (ah, poor me) - probably not using it enough to remember things between visits.
Still, I thought I'd say hello from a very wet and windy south west France and maybe one day I'll even be of use to someone else (instead of begging for help for myself).

Hi again, how nice you decided to say hello after all this time .
Any problems or questions about the forum just ask on the website forum, (just above the hello one ) or leave a message on my profile page, click on goosey and you will come to it, then leave your message in the box and I will get back to you.
It doesn't sound as if our weather is any better than yours, so from a dismal and cold Netherlands welcome from me .

Yes, welcome.
Most everyone, I think, has had problems uploading and the like. As you say, it's a matter of remembering between visits. Therefore don't leave it too long between those visits.
I see the Tour de France 2011 will be starting near you. Will you watch it?

Hey - Hello Paul
Sorry - I've only just noticed that you've posted this to me.
I've just had a look at that TdF route and it actually starts about 200 Km from here.
I've never - oh, the shame, just not a sporting person - watched anything but dribs and drabs of the race. In fact, it passed even closer to us a few years ago (hangs head in either shame or desire to look at something tiny on the ground).
I have a brother-in-law who lives considerably nearer - bet he'll only watch it on a screen as usual !
Thank you for your welcome. How will you be watching the event ??

Hello Goosey
Thank you for your welcome. I'm sure I'll be following your advice and leaving you messages ere long.
I almost answered your post about that fungus today. I thought it was Otidia Bufonia too - and can't understand why it isn't/wasn't. Just a complete novice, I guess. Can't wait to see what happens next.
PS It's still wet and windy here. 114mm of rain since midnight on Sunday !!!!
