Welcome and happy equinox!
We've had a few new members lately so a belated welcome and thanks for your contributions of pictures and information. This Vernal Equinox is an ideal time to start doing some more nature-watching.

When are the equinoctes and what are they.
Being tucked up in bed at 03.09 (coordinated universal time - Coordinated Universal Time - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) which was the equinoctial point this year. I thought that an equinox was a day when day and night were equal but that's the equilux (and that's a bit dubious) so thought I'd look it up. I shall never remember it all but will make a note to consult Wikipedia twice a year:
