Hello from Stockholm
Hi
I am an ex-pat Brit, originally from Swansea, South Wales, UK, and then via Sussex and Surrey before I moved to Sweden 10 years ago. I usually get back to UK twice a year. Summer holidays are mostly spent exploring Sweden, walking and photographing wildlife and scenery. Joined WAB a few months ago and had a tip from goosey about this forum. Glad to be here!
Especially interested in carnivorous plants.

Hello again and a warm welcome from Holland .
I look forward to hearing all about Sweden, it's wildlife or what ever you fancy telling us, and any piccies you share with us.
I thought carnivorous plants were more of a tropical thing, not at all what I would expect tp find in Sweden, so looks like you will have something to teach me!
Enjoy the site and see you around!

Hello Drosera
And welcome from me too!
It's great to have you here and we'll hopefully find out a bit more about what its like to live where you are.
I'm just wondering if you are the first member here from Sweden....anyone know?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to your posts and being enlightened about carnivorous plants as well
See you around!
Suzanne

Yes, welcome - it will be good to see and hear more about Sweden (do you venture to other parts of Scandinavia?). Do you get more (relative to other countries) carnivorous plants in your mires and forests?

Welcome! Sweden, how interesting! I've always been fascinated by Scandanavia and it's history, but lately that fascination has grown quite a bit. One of my friends is spending six months in Lund at the moment and it sounds such a lovely country.
Hope to be hearing, seeing and learning a lot more about the rest of Sweden too from your posts/photo's soon!

Hi Drosera,
Another welcome from the Netherlands
Fond memories here of a few very nice hollidays with a freindly family somewhere in the woods in Sweden when I was a kid. Endless tinkering with mopeds and a whole bunch of motor-chainsaws (some awe-inspiring 125cc models too ) ... and swiming in the (cold!) lakes, together with some snakes (not so nice) and some Swedish girls/ladies (better!)
Cheers, Arp
