Hello Everyone, Greetings from Wales
So glad I found this site. I have just moved over from WAB too. As my interests concern not only wildlife and environment at home, but also globally, I thought this was the perfect site to join. I havn't had a proper browse yet, but from the pictures I've seen so far, the gallery looks very impressive. I'm looking forward to participate and wish everyone a wonderful Bank Holiday Week-end....
Kind regards, Maria

Welcome to you and a couple of new members who I seem to have missed - I've been out in the green most of the last few days so not much time to chat on the computer. And I'm off again now! Cheers.

Hi Maria, a warm welcome from me too ... but, say, aren't there way too many vowels in "Maria" and "Feline" ?? 'cmon you can't really be from Wales
Cheers, Arp

...lol...you are absolutely right, Arp. I am originally from Germany...have lived in the UK for many years now.... We moved to Wales last October and I really love this part of the United Kingdom. The welsh coastline and countryside are extremely beautiful and inviting. Just the thing for a wildlife enthusiast like me..., always on the look-out for interesting images to capture with my digi camera. I dare say, I got the bug...

Hi Maria, welcome from me too.
Seeing as you are from Germany I suppose there is a very slim chance you may be able to help with this thread .
Moselle in Germany Which was posted a while back.
Anyway, enjoy the site and I look forward to seeing you around

How did you work out Maria's not from Wales by the amount of vowels?? I think I must be missing something there? or am I just being thick as usual?
Anyway Maria.........Welcome from me too!!
I'm sure you'll love it here as well as it's nice and easy going and still has lots of really helpful and friendly members.
I look forward to your posts and photos!
See you around!!

I think Arp was referring to the large numbers of consonants in Welsh names e.g.
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll Llantysiliogogogoch

Although (being irrelevant) isn't felin Welsh for a mill or a farm or something like that?

Welcome, Maria!
I'm new here myself, but the people I've met so far are all helpful and gracious in welcoming a new guy like me. I'm sure it will be a most pleasurable learning experience for us exploring these threads.
Arp, fascinated by your grasp of etymology of Welsh names.
