New Member from the Western Isles of Scotland

Hi, I've just found the forum today and am very impressed so far. I live on the Isle of Lewis, in the Western Isles of Scotland, and I'm trying to educate myself about wildlife matters and photography. I've had a keen interest all my life but there is always more to learn - especially when you have a dodgy memory like mine

Welcome - you may be our northernmost member! Looking forward to hearing and seeing more about the Western Isles. A bit windswept at the moment?

Thats the beauty of a place like this, there is always someone to help and ask! I think learning is an on going thing, and interests evolve from other members posts and photo's.

Hello! Dodgy memory... I have it too! Thankfully I have a backpack that can carry over 30 lbs of books . Is it true that Scotland doesn't have any snakes???

Hi Sandy, welcome from me too of course!

Just checked "your" forum, looks good with all the attention given to courses and things like the "how to help stranded seal pups" etcetera - very hands-on - nice!
Cheers!
Arp

Hi Sandy
And another belated welcome from Cumbria!
I've just had a look at your lovely website as well and it's full of interesting and helpful facts. And I loved the posts about the grey seal pup and it's successful release back to the wild. Nice to read some good news for a change.
Hope you enjoy it here too .
Suzanne
