Smile badgers in cheadle?

i have lived in the area for ten years and last night the courtesy light came on we thought it might be a fox but were very surprised to see a very large badger ambling along sniffing around the apple tree.
we live close to micker brook and this is the first time we have seen a badger in our garden has anyone else in the area got badgers for neighbours
regards snoopy.

Hi snoopy - lucky you to have badgers in your garden . I have never seen a badger in Holland, those which are here tend to live alone and not in family groups like in Britain for some reason.
It would be great if you could manage a photo, but not if it would scare him off.
Welcome to WATW, I look forward to seeing you and your posts around .

Hi Snoopy
That's quite some visitor to have in your garden!! Is he still around??
Unfortunately I live in town without a garden so I have very little hope of ever seeing such a sight, but it's great that you have. I wonder what made him venture there at last?
Keep us up to date on anymore badger goings on and welcome to WATW!
