Hi Sonia - space I find interesting but in a really basic way, I like to look and marvel at the stars and thats about it, unless something special is going to happen like an eclipse and I get drawn along by everyone elses enthusiasm. My camera isn't good enough for any decent pictures, though I can see much better through the binoculars. Saying that, I missed the lunar eclipse yesterday morning but saw a blue halo around the moon before I went to bed.
I look forward to seeing any of your and images here and reading your posts, welcome and enjoy the site.

Hi Sonia, and welcome to Wild About the World !

Not too many street lights in our village in Hungary, so we tend to get some super, starry skies.

Besides nature, I've always followed the human spaceflight programmes. Relieved to see that STS-122 returned to Earth safely from the ISS.

Did you migrate here from the "Wild About Britain" site ?? If not, I suggest you also check that one out !

Best wishes, Colin.

Hi Sonia,

Welcome from me too! Not much of an "astronomer" myself, or it would have to be that "insects" are the stuff that SciFi movies are made of

Cheers!
Arp

Hi Sonia
Nice to see you here!
I am quite interested in the weather especially as we seem to be getting quite a variety just lately. It's blowing an absolute hoolie here at the moment as well! So it would be great to find out a little more about it all!
I'll go and have a look at your astronomy forum as well as I am a complete beginner when it comes to the stars and planet etc so that should be very interesting!
Anyway, I look forward to your posts and photos, so join in and we'll see you around the forums!!
