Thanks - I can't tell you how I am waiting for it to be warm enough to get the orange sandals avatar back out though!

Have a lovely Christmas and all the best for the New Year!
I hope your allotment produces plenty of fruit and veg and lots of interesting moths and buttleflies! Have you had much chance to get up there lately, did you get your fruit bushes you were hoping for?

I've thought about you whenever the Cumbrian weather is mentioned. Glad to hear that you're okay. Cheers, Paul

I have been listening to Radio Cumbria about all that devistation and that poor policeman and his family, it is just so unbelievable. Thanks for the links, great but chillingly awful photo's which puts into perspective the immensity of it all. Places I know so well, my heart goes out to everyone affected.
    Thanks Suzanne.

Not really, though there are more Halloween-like things in the shops in recent years.
Saying that though my daughter is going "Halloween swimming" tonight with her mates, I don't know what is going to be special about it, but it will be costing 3 euro's more than a usual entrance fee!
On 11th November we have something similar called Sint Maartin, little children (usually upto about 10-11 years old) make lamps at school and nursery and hang them on long sticks with a little bulb to light the lamps, then go door to door singing for fruit or sweets. This takes place between 6-8pm, its all in good humour (though a few rude song slip in with the older kids ) no trick or treating and frightening old people or an excuse for vandalism.

hey,how are you?sorry you haven't heard from me,but i've been involved in an action.it's about a puppy called Peanut that was killed by two ,,people''.we struggled to gain enough signs for our petition,so that the two murderers can be killed the same way they killed the puppy.so,we travelled around Europe by plane.then,i came back to Romania so that i would start another action called:,,Get a friend, save a heart".it was an adoption-based action, but we also helped people with less money to take care of their pets.it was really nice.

    P.S:visit www.aspcaonlinecommunity.ning.com.it's a wonderful site.

    H Suzanne,
My bonsai are all home grown, and stay outside all year round,
the only trees that people have indoors are trees that live in a warm climate and can't survive in our british climate,
I will make an album of my trees so everyone can see them and thank you for the comment on the Broad Bodied Chaser, I was thrilled that it sat there for so long
