Hi Paul just to let you know I have split the green buildings thread and moved some posts to a new thread - http://www.wildabouttheworld.com/for...buildings.html
    Hope you don't mind.

If I don't see you around before you go, have a great trip. Thanks for telling me - I worry when people disappear, it is so noticeable here.
Anyway stay safe, I look forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

Well that was an exciting finish in Paris - where did cavendish come from, it was such a surprise to see him appear on the far side.
I am not so bothered with the last day and all the jolly champagne drinking (I know I am a kill joy and they have worked so hard over the last 3 weeks) but once that bell goes for the last lap I am interested!
What a good tour, it was so exciting with the cobbles and the Pyrenees, and the cat and mouse of gaining and losing time on the time trial yesterday.

It's the big day eh, Andy Schleck has to go for it - its now or never. Looks like the bad weather is going to play a big part - well at least with the eurosport coverage, it looks like there will be no aereal shots as the helicopters will be grounded and the motorcycle images will be staying with the Schelck-Contadour tussel and not any break aways.
What if Vinokourov decides to play his own game again and go for it himself - it has been known, and it is a Kazak team after all - would they be so mad at him if he left the Spaniard to rot?
Oh the excitement - what am I going to do when its all over!!!!

Well Andy Schleck isn't a happy bunny is he! I can't really think why Contador should have waited in that situation, and I don't think the crowd should have booed hin on the podium -when it is a big crash that is right to wait but not for machanical problems. It is going to be a interesting day tomorrow!

That was a turn up for the books Menchov going for it like that while Contador and Schleck were playing games (Contador must really see Schleck as a threat), it could have really backfired for them if they hadn't got their act together and actually worked together to limit the losses- it could all go to the time trial. It has really opened thing up now which is good, who knows what tommorrow will bring.
Menchov is leaving Rabo Bank at the end of the year and young Robert Gesink is set to be their no1, he has had such a good tour.
I haven't seen the WAB thread, I hardly visit there at all these days. You will have to try one of the Tour forums for some chit chat.

I hadn't heard about him being kicked off the tour when I wrote the last message which wasn't long after the finsh. I agree they have over reacted -a days ban or pots deduction or a fine should have surfice - perhaps the French (organisers) who are not having a very good tour see a way of getting rid of the competition via-via .

I couldn't believe what I was seeing when Mark Renshaw was head butting Julian Dean on the sprint in - no one on Eurosport made a big thing of it so it must be quite normal. Looks like Cav' is back to his best, I wonder if he still has a shout at the green jersey?

The Tour continues to be exciting - just loved the mountain stage yesterday - all that virtual cycling totally wore me out though!
After practically righting off Cavendish his two stage wins threw the Eurosport team.
I just can't believe how radioshack has been so lacking this year - on paper they were so good. And perhaps Andy Schleck would have been this good if he hadn't been watching out for his brother in the past? The Tour just gets better!
