I humbly confess to not really being a fan.
I can't get excited about such big events but really treasure memories of local and regional races passing through our hamlet.
The first, a summer event, involved us ladies taking chairs out to the grass verge, the men of course stood and the children ran riot. We could hear the race progressing miles away and we were cheering long before it arrived. First the Gendarms on motorbikes stern and serious waving stray children off the edge of the road and acknowledging the 'village elders'. Then cars sporting team flags and supermarket logos, windows open throwing out sweets. A tight bunch of super fit leggy torsos flew past followed by smaller bunches and stragglers whose physique we were better able to examine and enjoy.( continued above)

paul - I tried to post something about today's tour but twice, having almost finished, I pressed something accidentally and lost the lot. It's 1am so I give up. sorry.
Shame as it is out of my area after tomorrow. May try again in the morning. ren

Hey congratulations! I see your image of "A large spider at the Bilbao Guggenheim" is in the most popular image section of the gallery which is some fete!
I had closed down this section in my gallery view, (got fed up of seeing the same images by people which had stopped being active before I even became a member) and opened it out of interest to see if current WAW members had made it, or it was still the same images in the top 20 as when I joined and there was your picture!

No - haven't interfered with boxes.
    Shall try another browser.
    Clear cache automatically.
    Keep thinking!
    Thanks ....
PS: perhaps the computer needs a holiday - like me?

I am still thinking, have you accidently 'unticked' the stay logged in box?
    or tried refreshing the page?

I was asking hubby and he said it is worth changing your browser , like Drosera said, he swears by Google chrome.

Also have you cleared your cache? Which is different to clearing cookies - I didn't know that.

I'm no expert but maybe his operative system or browser. Is everything up to date? Could he download/install firefox? It helps when websites don't like Internet Explorer for some reason - my internet banks amongst other things only like Firefox

Mozilla Firefox Web Browser ? Free Download

PS - clicking on the mozilla link will automatically default to your language - I get Swedish

Thanks for all this. Things are a bit hit and miss: this message wasd here yesterday but I couldn't read it. Today I can see the thread listed but can't open it.
On WaB, I can now open a thread and reply to it by leaving the unreadable thread open in a tab when i close down the computer - when I restart the cmputer there is the thread open and ready for a reply! I'm not inclined to keep stopping and starting the computer!
I've not tried uploading a picture - I can see the gallery okay - I'll go and take a picture to upload!
    Thanks again

Well I got your message, thats the good news.
No one else has mentioned any problems so it must be something with your computer.
I don't know what to sugest, usually people just say clear your cookies and browsing history.
Usually not being able to reply means you are not logged in but if you sent this to me you must be logged in.
An alternative is to join again on a new user name and try posting, just call any post 'test posts' so I know to get rid of them once you know if you can post or not.

I will post your message on the foum for you and see if anyone has any ideas but things have been very quiet recently and not alot is happening.

can you access or upload to the gallery or is it just the forums?
If you can post on the WAB website forum you will get more reactions and quicker help, but that sounds unlikely.

    Good luck
