    Thanks goosey.
I went up yesterday and cut some in half, put 2 on a raised pile of wood as that's where the blackbird and robins are often seen and the other 2 I spiked on the end of some of the branches on the tree with the feeders. Not sure if they've been on it yet although I did have a flurry of activity with robins, blue tits, great tits, long tailed tits, a dunnock and a chaffinch. I'm up tomorrow so I'll check again then.

Hi, you said you were going to give apples a try on your allotment for the birds. I have just seen someones website where they stick an apple on the the top of a cane. Unless you were going to hang it from a tree try that rather than leave it on the ground. I put mine on the ground as slugs and snails aren't a great problem for me but I imagine you may get more on an allotment and the apples could get a bit slimy.

I can't believe you did such a lot of funny things one after the other.
So wish I was there to share in your fun!

I thought that would make you laugh - I was worried you would electrocute yourself with all those tears of laughter falling on your key board as you typed

    You're welcome.
Glad you got your bees in the end, mine has only just got its buds on and aren't as big as last years plants either. Fingers crossed for a bit of sun I think!
I also like your thinking about your 500 euros, coincidently I have never seen a winning jackpot lottery ticket either......fingers crossed for those as well!

Hi, how nice you saw and got a great piccie of the swallow after saying that too . Since you said it, I have been saying that about 500 Euro notes and it hasn't worked for me yet .
My borage is covered in bee's . isn't it odd how when the flowers appear they are pink then turn blue almost straight away .
    Thanks for the seeds .

Oh what fun, I can just imagine it - rather you than me though!
The concert is on Dutch telly tonight too, my youngest is a bit peeved as she is working and will miss the first half hour.
I watched the Gary Barlow thing last night about the official song - so interesting, and how lovely it was normal Commonwealth citizens and not celeb's taking part.

    Absolutely!!
Can't think of anything more fun that sitting with the oldies having tea, surrounded by Union Jacks and photos of the Queen, watching a thousand boats go down the Thames in the rain on the TV and not being able to hear anything interesting as certain people keep repeating things they just mis-heard at the tops of their voices
Yes it's all fun celebrating the Jubilee here!!
    Roll on the concert tonight.
