Good to be back but I haven't really got going with photos yet. Yes, quite dramatic stories both of them. The bridge is open again now and the person who took the train is still in hospital. The train experts are trying to work out how to remove the train without the house falling down

-
Glad to see you here!
It isn't often Sweden makes the Dutch news but today they mentioned the stolen train/crash and that awful crash on the bridge. -
Oh No, what an idiot - I sent you this message on Friday but just realised I stuck it on my own profile page instead of yours

Glad you had a good break - shame about the broadband, hope it is back soon. Any good pressies?
We had good Christmas Day and our eldest was over for a couple of days, but then our youngest has had flu since Boxing Day, luckily because I was protected by a flu jab in the Autumn I had a lesser reaction to it which only lasted 5 days but until yesterday was knocked for six - so time off and goodish weather were wasted and I didn't get out. But we did get to see the Hobbit at the cinema .
Then New Years Day our poor old cat died which was awful .
There is good news , my camera is being collected on Monday and with luck will be repaired! -
Take care and have a good time, see you next year!

Congratulations "really wild member"
! If you carry on like this your posting finger will be as calloused as mine!

I am back!!! Had a great time and the weather on the whole was pretty good. I did have a few camera disasters though, the first day of the holiday too
. The first thing was I was changing lenses, something I don't often do because I use the little canon as well as the bigger one but I thought the images would be crisper - BUT, I got muck inside and when I tried to clean it made it worse, I bought a cleaning and blowing kit but it has still left marks on the images and isn't right now. Very annoying especially right at the beginning of the holiday. THEN, I lost all the first days images somehow, the card was wiped, luckily Andrew found a programme to get them back but some were totally corrupted and unusable but I have a few, I suppose it was lucky that happened on the first day.
I have started going through the images but I haven't got an wow images sofar, but there could be a little gem or two I have seen yet
See you around

How exciting!
Spoonbills are so cool aren't they, I love watching them feed in that sweeping motion.
It will take you a while getting through all those photo's but I look forward to seeing them and hearing all about it.
You will be needing a rest now no doubt

Have a nice time! I have heard about slimbridge but never been myself, when we are back in blighty we are always in Cumbria so North Lancs and North Yorkshire are about as far as we get. We are back in August, probably the last year we are stuck with college holidays, I can't believe our youngest will want to come with us next year - but it will be nice so either get over earlier or later in the year and see different things and the beautiful landscape looking different.
We had another good day at the Oostvaardseplassen - still no eagles or beavers but it was still wonderful and lots of chicks around.
No doubt I will see you (virtually ) before you go, if not, have a wonderful time

Hello! Lovely gull images you have just uploaded.

A pair of White tailed eagles have a chick over in the Oostvaardseplassen. We have been quite a few time recently hoping to see the adults or the beavers but no luck. It is a huge area though and I suppose its being in the right place at the right time. There was bad news the last time we were in the info center there and were told the nest had blown down in a storm and a egg was lost, so it is good that they have relocated and have a chick.
I hope your family in Wales aren't flooded out, I saw it on the news - horrid
.
Take care, and your memory card
- I have only just seen your meassage for me
