It must be difficult to find time for yourself, and then when you do not to feel guilty about it. At the moment I don't think you are misissing out on much fungi and the fresh air on your wanders is a bit too fresh still. When you do get out I hope yuo have some great finds and a wonderful time.
Scarlet Elf caps are still on my wish list and Flammulina elastica was one I had to look up so you are two up on me!

Hi Mal, how are you keeping? Have you had much chance to get out?
I havn't had much chance to check out fungi for months now, it has either been much too cold at much below zero to want to go out or there has been snow on the ground. Even this last week we have had snow - there seems no end to winter. Even when I go out I have found nothing of interest. Goodness knows how this weather will effect nature and the morrels, or when they will put in an appearance.

BTW, if you have nothing better to do you could always check this thread out .

Me again, I am not ignoring the fungi forum - do not fear !
I have been out a few time over th last couple of weeks but I have found so little and it has hardly been worth mentioning.
I have been checking out other peoples finds and theirs have been no better.
Is it any better where you are?
Have you any walks and talks about fungi organised this year?

Hi Mal, just got back from England yesterday and surprisingly there was almost hardly any fungi around, though the last few days things did seem to pick up a bit but nothing wowing or very exciting! Had a great holiday though and seemed to fit in lots but not everything we had hoped to do - oh well there is always next year!

Hi Mal, Paul has an unidentified bracket in the unidentified gallery if you fancy having a look .

How are things in North Yorshire - much fungi around? Things seem to be picking up here, summer never really got started We are in Cumbria next month so I hope thare is plenty of interesting little finds as well as some sunshine!
