How was Portugal?

HI Steve, Happy Boxing day! I hope you have had a nice Christmas and didn't over indulge.
We have just had a long walk on the beach to walk off some of yesterday's excess's, almost got blown away but it was warm enough and I couldnt believe how many people were down there, one idiot even went for a dip in the North Sea.

Good to see you again, any good butterfly images and how is the count going?
I haven't seen an awful lot, mainly just the usual whites and red admirals in the garden and nothing spectacular when out an about, I haven't seen one painted lady this year.
Any thoughts on the Austrain butterfly Cragere25c has put in the gallery?

My avatar is a photograph from behind my home it shows the mountains south of Oloron st Marie its the entrance to the col de la st Martin a route across the Spanish frontier They are over 2500 metres high

Is your avatar from a photo or painting - I can never work it out and have been going to ask since you joined but kept forgetting!
