Was the early elephant the wooly mammoth, or did early elephants come from something else. I'm trying to find some info on what elephants looked like millions of years ago. I guess they couldn't have been the same as mammoths, because they're extinct, but something smaller and similar.
To go back even further, what did the mammoth and early elephant look like...are they connected to any of the dinosaurs? I don't really know much about evolution, but I'm willing to learn so if you know the answer then I'd love to hear it
