when you see elephants mating, any idea how much weight must the female be carrying with the bull on top? I guess it must be several tons, so can female elephants lock their knees to help carry the extra weight?
I'd never thought about that, but it must be at least a ton. Now I think about it, does the female stand or sit when they're mating? If she's tanding then that's a lot of extra weight to carry
