Mouse?
I saw this coming out of a hole under a hawthorn. It seems very reddish, is it a mouse? It looked larger than the ones in the garden which are grey.
It also either has a very short tail or some of it is missing?

Looks like a Bank Vole (Myodes glareolus) to me.
These are similar to the Field Vole (Microtus agrestis), but tend to have redder fur, more prominent ears, and a slightly longer tail.

I put it on waarneming and the bank vole - Clethrionomys glareolus/Myodes glareolus ID has been confirmed. I was given two Latin names and will put both into the keywords so they both come up in a gallery search.
Thanks Roy .
