In the last five years wallabies which have escaped from petting farms and other places have been spotted in 6 of the 12 Provinvces of The Netherlands - Noord-Brabant, Noord-Holland, Gelderland, Overijssel en Groningen and Friesland.
But conditions must be right for these Australian herbivores, recently, for the first time people have seen a group of five wallabies with one young in Ooststellingwerf, Friesland.
There are no plans to capture any of the escaped wallabies as they are causing no damage in the wild.
