Spanish mott ID wanted
This one was in Spain, just inland of Marbella on some scrub. Any ideas?

It's a bit like one of the elephant hawkmoths ... but not quite!

Perhaps there are related, similar species in Spain?

This moth has been puzzling ne for months. At first glance I also thought it was an Elephant Hawkmoth.
Is it possible that it could be one of the Geometridae Sterrhinae, It looks similar to the Rhodostrophia pudorata, but the photo's I have seen are a bit brighter than this one of V6GTO's. But having no idea of size, I am rather grasping at straws.
