Eggs and larvae
I noticed these on Friday. They are on a Sinapis sp (I think) growing out of the path ( ) in the front garden. I am hoping they are Lepidopteran - moth or butterfly would be fantastic, I have no preference .
Can anyone tell me what they are please.
Thanks

My first impression was sawfly, perhaps one of the Athalia sp with a fondness for Brassicaceae. However, I can't count enough prolegs so I suppose they are Lepidopteran ....

That would have been fantasic wouldn't it! The only Fritillary I have ever seen in the garden was a Pearl Bordered Fritillary (Boloria euphrosyne) in 2010.
Once it dries up I will see if I can refind any of the larvae and see if they have grown out of that newly emerged look.
