This is on the Spindle and about 1cm long.
When I first saw it I thought it was a case-bearer moth larva, but it seems to have a little fish tail?

Does anyone know what it actually is?

Maybe it's a parasitised caterpillar. See -

It looks so similar to mine. It is still there actually and I wondered why there were no feeding signs or it hadn't toddled off.

How sad, I hate it when that happens, I lost about 90% of Large White butterfly larvae last year like that.
