Dragonfly for ID
This is the only image I'm afraid, when I saw it in the flesh I thought it was a black-tailed skimmer but now I have seen it on the computer I see the yellow spots and don't know.
Thanks for any help  .

Looks like a developing Black-tailed Skimmer to me. It takes some time for the 'full' colouring to develop.

Yes, it's a maturing male Black-tailed Skimmer.
The blue colour on this (and many other) species comes from a substance which is secreted as they mature (known as pruinescence after the similar 'bloom' which can develop on plums).
