insects for kids
Stick insects, always seem to be quite popular insects for kids, but what other insects would make good pets for kids?

The advantage of stick insects is that they don't move rapidly and are fairly robust (give or take a leg or two). Plenty of other insects are robust *but* move quite rapidly (crickets, cockroaches) so are not easy to handle.
Big problem with stick insects is tht they're not really 'typical' insects, many without wings and often, as with Carausius morosus [that doesn't look correct spelling], parthenogenic. Worth thinking more on this!
