Canary lettuce moth

Can someone please help me to ID this? I found it tucked up in a lettuce I bought in Lanzarote last week. No idea where the lettuce was grown (but I suspect it wasn't local, judging by the empty fields I saw). It was the only moth I saw all the time I was there.

Hello! how lovely to see you again!

The moth is very worn which makes an ID so difficult. I would say almost certainly a Noctuidae, which most are so variable it makes your head spin.
It does put me in mind of a Bordered Straw - Heliothis peltigera (that is no way certain just a thought, even one of the Underwings?) but the time of year is way out for when they are on the wing. Was the moth actually alive or was it dead and could it have been hanging around for a while?

Good luck with it!

Thanks for the suggestion. It was alive and well, just asleep. Never seen one in a lettuce before!
