spidery subject
Morning all - I've noticed things have been a bit quiet here lately, so I thought I'd stir things up a bit.
Could anyone, please help me with this spider ?
I have no idea where to start looking for this, so I've made no attempt to identify it (hands up - guilty), but I'd love to be able to tell the folks on whose house wall I found it, exactly what it is.
It was high on the wall, so the photo was taken on full zoom even though I was standing on a chair.

Is anyone able to help, please ?

Hi lemars,
I can't contribute much at all in this forum but in this single case I may just give a couple of advice, but no ID, I'm sorry
That photo is very small. I doubt anyone will be able to give you much at all. So, a larger photo and entered so that it shows up in the post itself would be nice.
When trying to ID a spider, I know that one of the major features needed for that is to see the eyes of the spider. That will immediately put you to the correct family of spiders.
Others will most certainly come by soon and give you more useful help on what you were asking.

I see the subject of posting photo has already been dealt with in your other recent post.
I found this in my own old post where "goosey" had helped me to get all this right. I had just as much trouble as you have with entering a photo into my posts.

Sorry Ratatoskr - Goosey mentioned my posting of photos from the wrong site in another thread.
I changed that one, but failed to change this one because I couldn't be sure I'd corrected it properly.
Does this make any difference ?

As for the eyes - no, I certainly didn't know about that and I'll bear it in mind in future. Interesting.
That said, it would have been impossible on this occasion because the little blighter was as high up an interior wall as it could possibly be. I was also on full zoom and standing on a chair.
Guess I should have whistled to get it to give me a disparaging look, but I didn't.
Thank you for that though - I do take photos of spiders from time to time and I'll do it more carefully next time.

Howdy,
Are foreign animals allowed now on WAB?
As I don't do spiders I can't really help, but the thumbnail is really making it hard even for experts I suppose, so here it is clickable and opening a larger version of the image:
Cheers, Arp
P.S. Ah, duh. Just found your upload to WATW

It looks like Tibellus oblongus, quite common in the UK amongst long grass etc.
