There are some real beauties there!

I think no 2. is Papilio memnon agenor. There is a good image on the link below, and some info about it.

I think I have another one for you John,

No. 3 could be a female Great (or Common) Eggfly - Hypolimnas bolina.

Very much enjoyed your tropical plant and butterfly photos.

I agree with Goosey on No. 3 Great (or Common) Eggfly Hypolimnas bolina

No 4 is a Citrus Butterfly Papilio demodius

I'll have a think about no 1

No 1 could be one of the subspecies of Australian Leafwing Doleschallia bisaltide

Another suggestion

Thanks for your help Black with No1 but I'm confused as Salamis cacta has also been suggested to me. I've also viewed your link and the one below. They both look very similar.

Thorne's Insects Shoppe - Viewing Salamis cacta

Any thoughts?

John

They do look very much alike - if anything your photo seems to be between the others!
My first thoughts are taxonomy - nomenclature - is it the same (or close) species which has been given different names? I can find no evidence of this but worth looking at further?

I believe its Salamis cacta. Doleschallia bisaltide does not have the purple iridescence.

Also, if you have an underside view I can confirm it for you.
