I don't know if it is a "girls" thing or not, why would we have an irrational gene like that?
Most of you know my feelings on spiders () so anyway, for all the other girlies - I started collecting conkers last week (and recommend you start collecting them too) I got another pile today!

Just a reminder of why see posts 16-18 of this thread . Whose cocoon?

But I do agree with Paul that the "proof" as presented in the newscast is rather thin - of course that may be the journalist's fault not the scientist's
