Larvae for ID

Here are a few that need ID-ing, I think I am asking alot really with with the amount of detail being shown - but if you don't ask you don't get .

1. I think this may be a Brimstone - Opisthograptis luteolata, but I have never seen the adult in the garden. Seen in April on the buddleia.

2. There were lots of these over a period of weeks in February, usually eating the crocus foliage or petals, but I do believe they were partial to the polen. when I first saw them they were less than 1cm long but later were about 1.5cm

3. I think this could be a sawfly larva, but wasn't aware they wrapped themselves in silk like this. This was seen in May on the Viburnum Gwenllian.

Thanks H Dogg, I am thinking that many of the large Yellow Underwings I saw last year may have actually been Noctua orbona - Lunar Yellow Underwing seeing as there were so many larvae. I also had lots of Large Yellow underwing larvae in the garden aswell. I will have to pay more attention this year, I suppose not trapping and just getting glimpses of the moths, I see the dark spot and determine if it's a Large or a Lesser yellow underwing - a Lunar not coming in to the equation - I could kick myself!
I will check my photo's to see if I have inadvertantly got a picture of an adult without realising.

Good news I got the Opisthograptis luteolata right! Shame I never saw the adult.

I will check out the Noctuids for an early instar match.

Thanks again.
