facts about butterflies
got any facts about butterflies? I've always been a big fan of trivia so I'll probably start lots of similar threads, but one of my favourites is that butterflies taste with their feet. I remember hearing a presenter on the radio saying it years ago and all the other co-presenters thought he was winding them up...but it does beg the question...how do we know?
I only recently found out that some butterflies don't eat
Monarch butterflies travel thousands of miles
anyone know any more?

just thought of another:
butterflies used to be known as flutter-bys...anyone know why they had the name change...I quite like flutter-bys and it seems to suit them better

Painted Lady butterflies winter in South Morocco and can fly Spain/England in one hop.
