Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
With the recent report published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) it seems as though we finally have an organisation that may have the skills, knowledge, expertise and respect of governments and people around the world.
In the UK, the Stern report had the effect of awakening many people in the business community to the reality of climate change. Whilst that there was nothing particularly new about the content of the report, the fact that the author is a very well-respected economist, did a great deal to get the message across.
Hopefully the IPCC will continue to have the same effect and become as well known as some of the other big intergovernmental agencies around the world.
