Petition for Bird Bat Nest Sites in Buildings
Alastair McKie has very thoughtfully set up this petition on the website for the Prime Minister of the UK. I ask that you consider signing it. It asks the
Prime Minister to make provision for bird and bat species mandatory within new and existing building developments.

Thanks

Hi Black
I've just signed it.
I never thought of the impact new builds and refurbishments had on the birds and bats before. How awful that their nesting places are taken away from them when the remedy is so simple.
Hope the petition is a success.

I have just signed it Black - they wouldn't accept my address without a UK post code although I am a British citizen - so I used my mums postcode. That was accepted anyway as I got a email back.
Hope it helps.

Done.
However, a lot of new build isn't really suitable for humans so I don't suppose the construction companies will be too helpful to wildlife!

Thanks guys I posted the request on WAB as well and there seems to be a number of new signatures added. I'm never sure how much influence petitions make but I hope it raises a bit of awareness at the very least.
